The simple design ensures elimination of the excessive cylinder weight and bulk. With a finish of 16 micro inches or greater, there is smooth low friction operation. The standard 303 stainless steel comes with 1-1/8-inch bore cylinders. The adjustable cushions provides superior control for cylinder deceleration. This unit comes with complete adjustability with the exception of 1-1/8-inch bore. Self lubricating high grade bronze rod bearing reduces the friction and provides smooth operation. The piston seal selection guarantees job matching performance. The Barrel I.D. is hard coated aluminum along with Rockwell C60 hardness, and the Piston rod is grounded the polished. The hard chrome plated steel provides maximum packing life and minimum friction, with the optional 303 stainless steel excellent protection is guaranteed for wash down applications and corrosion resistance.

These operate with an air pressure of up to 250psi with output forces of up to 19,635lb (a bore of 10" operating at 250psi). The standard operating temperature is between 0 to 185 degrees (Fahrenheit) and -18 to 82 degrees (Celsius). There are also optional 303 SS piston rods, oversized rods and slippery seals available.

The ISO 15552 low friction cylinders are single-acting units lacking a return spring, making them suitable for use as dandy or tensioning cylinders. The most suitable type for use is the Type A as this has the least amount of friction, while Type B should be chosen when the cylinder is used in normal conditions but outside of the pneumatic cushioning area. Type C is different to Type A because of the use of a piston rod gasket that helps protect against dirt that could clog the device when it is used in dirty surroundings.
Type D is different to Type B due to the piston rod gasket used for protection against dirt when operating in dirty environments. Type E is suitable to use when the front chamber is pressurized, and the Type F is similar to the Type B.
