Heated adsorbent traps are an easy and affordable method to pre-focus samples for the GC. The heated trap comprises of stainless steel tube stuffed with adsorbent. The sample id dragged though the tube, whereas the analytes of interest are confined on the adsorbent patch. Later the trap is heated and the valve is revolved to desorb the analyses into the conveyor gas flow that stores them in the analytical mast.
The traps are plumbed as a demonstrative ring of a 10-port gas sampling valve. Additionally, the heated traps are setup in the channels of the valve oven on the left of GC. You can pick a single or two individually heated traps stuffed as per the selection of the adsorbent.

The filter has a through-put volume up to 15,000 l/min (with Dp=0.01 bar), a counter balance valve, an anti-droplet device and is also lockable, thus preventing contamination and foreign particles like water from entering the system connected with the fluctuations of the oil level inside the tank.
