Transient voltage and lightning protection surge arrester / type 3 - 8 kA | DM1
The DMI series is a range of devices designed to deliver efficient performances in protecting susceptible equipment from power surges. They are compliant with IEC 61643-1 guidelines. They are Type 3, Class III devices, equipped with an integrated EMI filter. The devices are structured to confirm to DIN rail monobloc criteria. The devices are conducive to installation in panels that equipped with Type 2 surge protection units, installed in the upstream. When installed in such applications, they act as the final protective barrier against power surges. They can be installed in systems with electromagnetic interference to prevent the interruption, degradation or restriction of performance. Devices have lower residual voltages as compared to Type 1/Type 2 devices, thus ensuring better protection capabilities. For optimum performance, they should be positioned very close to the equipment requiring protection. They have a rated current of 8A and voltage pulse of 1.2/50μs.
