Single-mode polyimide coated optical fiber - ø 700 µm | OptiMet PKF

With thirteen Bragg fiber gratings and an allowance for strain management using a set gauge factor, the OptiMet-PKF is the optical fiber perfect for outdoor use. With a Bragg wavelength spectral distance of 5nm and a 60cm length between gratings, this cable can bend to a radius of up to 10mm without affecting the functionality.
As if that is not enough, this cable has a very simple installation process and can handle very tough environments. The fiber is also tough enough to resist a good number of the common chemical substances. It's also not affected by electromagnetic fields. When compared to strain gauges and the other conventional connecting cables, this cable reduces the wiring complexity and the overall weight.

Single-mode optical fiber - ø 195 µm | OptiMet OMF

This product appoints a monomode optical fiber which has 13 fiber Bragg gratings (standard) and permits measurement of fiber optic strain using a defined gauge factor. The OptiMet-OMF allows bending radii for up to 2.5mm and has a 5nm spectral Bragg wavelengths distance of 60cm as standard. Adding to that, this product is unreactive to electromagnetic fields and best used in laboratories and atmospheres that are possibly explosive. Benefits for users include minimized wiring complexity and lesser optical fiber weight as compared to electrical strain gauges and conventional connecting cables.

Single-mode silica optical fiber - 450 - 1550 nm

As part of Select-Cut-Off and polarization maintaining singlemode fibers, these offer a wide wavelength range from UV to IR, and are widely used in current and future applications like data transmission, optical communications, sensorics and high-power laser transmission. Promises impressive stability, industry-rated tolerances and reliable geometrical specifications. The company also offers customized fibers, especially when it comes to adjusting the wavelengths from UV to IR and mode field diameters depending on operating wavelength. Doping concentrations or special refractive index profiles are used to adjust the numerical aperture. The fibers themselves are coated with acrylate or dual acrylate, polyimide or high-temperature acrylate coatings. The reduced jacket-geometry or adjusted dispersion suit challenging applications.
