The Coudoint Woven Resistors represent an excellent solution for use in various applications such as load banks (portable or on-board), EHV, as heating resistor for dryers, drying cupboards, heating rings (pipes, filters) or heating cases, or as heating or defrosting resin overmolded resistor. These flexible mats are made using a resistance weft wire, nonconductive chain warp thread wire and plain end strips providing mechanical fixation, creating a semi-rigid foil that supports one or more resistors. This technology allows the construction of power resistors with high ohmic value (from 1 Ω to over 10 kΩ) that are both compact and very light (960 W resistor weighing only 150 g). Additionally it offers good thermal characteristics, high voltage tolerance, low inductance (due to absence of coils in the resistance circuit) and excellent dimensional flexibility.
