Ultrasound proximity sensor - UB series
There are certain ultrasonic sensors which use a separate panel mount controller to act as an interface between the transducer elements and the user system. These remote DIN mount devices are generally used to power, trigger and identify the return feedback signals from up to four remote transducers.They directly interface to the transducer elements and activate the ultrasonic sensor's measurement cycle and then it evaluates the delayed time and echo signal provided from the transducer element. The time-delayed pulse signal is now transformed to an output signal, analog or switch-point which implies the target distance used by the interfaced system.
