The Powerstar is manufactured by Simplex Direct, and is a portable load bank that has an ultra-compact, lightweight and versatile test instrument. It is especially intended for manufacturers, dealers and users of small AC power systems. It is highly appropriate for testing engine generators, wind generators, UPS systems, ground power units and auxiliary power units.The unit has a digital load control with a resolution of 5 kW. It can operate fan and control circuits from a common 120 V wall outlet in a 15’ cord provided. It has a magnetic contractor control of load and Cam-Lok power connectors.
