The MS range of volumetric flowmeters is exceptionally engineered to provide high levels of precision in measuring flow rates while transferring industrial liquids in large quantities. They deliver excellent results in measuring flow rates of liquids like petrochemicals, LPG, petroleum by-products, aviation fuel and crude-oil being transferred in bulk.

The state-of-the-art design facilitates measuring of flow rates without interfering in the flow. Pressure of flow is also sustained, without any deviation whatsoever, when the liquids pass through the metering system. The flowmeters have an efficient structurization. The housing is spherical and fabricated from steel. Inlet and outlets are flanged ports. The metering system comprises a conventional Riels measuring unit that works with the aid of three rotors.

The rotors rotate in synchrony to impart the highest levels of accuracy in performances. Each individual revolution by rotors conveys an exact volume of liquid into the measuring area for metering. The entire operation is conducted without contacts between metal components in the metering chamber.

Sealing between rotors and the wall of the metering chamber is accomplished hydraulically via an immobile liquid layer.

The VZS-005-VA is manufactured by Riels, and is a liter counter that is suitable for use in measuring liquids such as measuring oils, hydraulic liquids, motor oil, lubricants, fuels, and diesel. The unit is also acceptable for use in measuring low flow rates in dosage or in testing engines. It utilizes a volumetric oval wheel as its measuring principle, and it has a measuring capacity that ranges from 0.005 l/m up to 1.75 l/m. The body of the unit is made of AISI 316-grade stainless steel, and its seals are made of both Viton and Teflon, thus making it reliable even in chemically aggressive medias.

The fluid is delivered sequentially from input to output, and one or two pulses are transmitted for each turn of the oval wheel.

These Liter Counters from the Riels KDN series hold top place for their simplicity and field-proven performance. They provide high levels of accuracy for a wide range of liquids, from medium to high viscosity of up to 40,000 cps, for decanting liquids. They are designed in such a way that they lessen the pressure drop across the meter, even with high viscosity. They also come with the innate ability to measure liquids that may be dirty/unclean or even having a small percentage of solid materials in suspension.

The liquid passes continuously through the measuring chamber, with no interruptions whatsoever, and causes the “NUTANTE,” which is the movement within the disc. The specially configured measuring chamber and disc allow the measurement of the transiting fluid with the highest levels of accuracy. There is a sensor placed outside the measuring chamber that receives signals of every single rotation, from the magnet that is placed in the pin. The lack of transmission gears makes it easy to clean and gives long-life to the counter.
