The unit is a sodium analyzer manufactured by Buck Scientific. The thermal excitation of sodium, lithium and potassium in a low temperature flame allows atomic line emission sufficient detection levels of 8ppt Sodium, 5ppt Lithium and 15ppt Potassium.
The unit features an optical range of 589 to 766. The system is especially manufactured for high throughput in the visible range, with sufficient resolution to differentiate from flame background radiation.
ASTM D1428 of 20-200ppb and ASTM D2791 of 0.1-20ppb procedures are made easy and independent of former instrumental restraints, integrated with light leaks and electronic stability. The unit is available both as an online device, and as a laboratory device used for grab samples.
