The DUO diagnostic oil aging unit, or DUO10A, uses thermal analysis for maintenance and preventative measures. From SEW-EURODRIVE, this diagnostic unit is designed to be the perfect sensor for determining how much service life is left in gear unit oil, and for indication of the right time for the next change of a specified type. The gear unit features a thermal sensor that measures the temperature of the oil and sends that information to the evaluation feature.

When there is thermal stress of oils, oxidation characteristics are taken into account by the diagnostic unit. Advantages of the DUO10A include the ability to plan maintenance intervals, direct parameter startup and settings performance on the diagnostic feature without the use of a PC, optimal oil service life utilization from the unit and various monitoring options.
