Roehm's KFS and MFS series of cartridge mandrels is generally used for applications that involve turning, cutting, toothcutting, measuring, balancing, and grinding. Models of the series sport compact designs, stabilized clamping capabilities, and compatibility with Type 255-9 flanges.

The cone sleeves incorporate slits on both sides, thereby facilitating flawlessly executed cylindrical clamping. The end-stops provided for length determination are structured in a soft, pliable variant, thus enabling easy adjustment of the end-stops to suit the desired length.
