The heaters from ALSTOM are made to retrofit the needs of a customer's coal and oil plant. It employs a pure desalinated water in the inner water cooling system. The cooling water does not come in contact with demineralized water due to the water-water cooling system.
The cooling systems are made of corrosion resistant materials. It can handle pressure, rating, and massflow without any given restrictions. It also employs a sponge cleaning option that eradicates labor incurred costs for cleaning. These products operate without gaskets, and on a larger optimization range. The material of the tube dictates the material for the tubesheet which is usually stainless steel or clad carbon steel plates. Furthermore, its waterbox is attached to the tubesheet.

Bowman offers a range of products designed for marine engine use, such as heat exchangers, water cooled manifolds, charge air coolers and oil coolers. These products fitted with bronze covers which are very corrosion resistant. Their smaller units, which are fitted with neoprene, can be readily used in sea water pipe work. They also produce a variety of standard heat exchangers that can be used to modify a range of engines up to 1400kW (1900HP) for marine use. Bowman also produces engine specific heat exchangers and exhaust manifolds for a selection of engines by Cummins, Ford, Perkins, etc. They also produce engine oil coolers designed for engines up to 1200kW (1600HP) and gearbox oil coolers for engines up to 1500 (2000HP).

Its compact, and minimal footprint design that is integrated with cupro-nickel tubes which extends its life service.
