Oxygen and carbon dioxide contained in water act as corrosion agents on carbon steel. It is important to remove them. Oxygen can be eliminated chemically and other dissolved gases by physical methods.

The 'Thermal Deaerator Under Pressure' (0,3bar) enables the user to obtain excellent quality water with very low oxygen content, as low as 0.01mg/1. The design is used for installations, which run at high productivity and pressure. It is planned according to physio-chemical guidelines by Babcock Wanson and optimizes removal of gases. The feed waters after the removal of gas become high-quality water. Alternatively 'Deaerator Tank Under Pressure' is made available. It gives a performance close to the thermal deaerator (0,05mg/1).

It suits boilers of medium output and includes a cost-effective substitute to chemical treatment.
