This is a closed-loop hydraulic brake without its own power source.
It is normally associated with an ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinder.
It consists of an oil-filled cylinder, one or more regulation valves and a
tank compensating for oil leaks.
It is available in two versions:
with regulation in piston rod extension, in retraction or both
SKIP valve (slow/fast) or STOP valve or both, with NC or NO control
After a certain operating time, the brake compensation tank needs to be
topped up. Refer to the minimum mark on the dipstick. With the piston rod
fully extended, the dipstick must project at least 15 mm from the tank cap.
Use only COMLUBE DEXRON ATF hydraulic oil. During the first few work
cycles, excess oil is ejected through a hole in the tank.|

The closed loop hydraulic brake without inbuilt power source is normally used in ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinder. the setup features an oil-filled cylinder, one or more regulation valves and a tank compensating for oil leaks. The cylinder comes in two versions. Regulation in piston rod extension, in retraction or both and SKIP valve (slow/fast) or STOP valve or both, with NC or NO control.

The brake compensation tank requires to be topped up after certain time of operation which can be visually observed on the dipstick marking to minimum level. When the piston rod is fully extended, the dipstick projects at least 15 mm from the tank cap. Only DEXRON ATF hydraulic oil is recommended. During the initial few work cycles, excess oil is ejected from the hole in the tank.

The integrated hydraulic brake has a oleo-dynamic circuit which functions like a brake and a pneumatic cylinder as an actuator. A brake liquid tank and a couple of regulation pins are fitted in the hydraulic circuit.

The hydraulic brake couples with a SKIP or STOP valve that is Normally Close (NC) or Normally Open (NO) which is used for retraction of expansion of the piston rod. The integrated hydraulic braking force and the driving force are linked to each other and hence unwanted bending moments are not produced on the piston rod or outer design attached to it.

The basic structure of the brake is space saving and helps in lowering the dimensions than the BRK exterior hydraulic brakes.

In contrast to a strictly electric drive, the HOERBIGER ePrAX is powerful and durable, thanks to hydraulics. Because of its compact, closed design, its operation is clean and free of leaks, featuring no oil lines. The customer simply uses a few cables and eight bolts to attach the closed system to the frame of the press brake, like an electric drive. The smart electrohydraulic system operates with oil that the user does not see, yet it is strong, fast, environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and economical. Thanks to the closed remote drive units, there is the customary complexity involving piping.
