Stainless steel filter media - TWM™

MKI's TWM™ five-layer filter media are constructed using our unique calendering and sintering (diffusion-bonding) process to laminate layers of woven stainless steel wire cloth. This creates an integrated yet porous plate, and completely eliminates media migration. The particle size retention (i,e. micron rating) is governed by the choice of filter mesh; the other four layers (see diagram) are carefully chosen to protect the filter layer and to maximize strength and permeability.

Stainless steel filter media - BWM™

High strength, high permeability with high cleaning efficiency make BWM™ an excellent choice for manual and self-discharging pressure Nutsche filters. Similar in construction to our TWM™ five-layer filter media, BWM™ comprises five specially chosen weave types laminated together offering a unique combination of cleanability and high strength. BWM™ derives its superior characteristics from the flow distribution and structural support layers. These layers are progressively larger aperture plain square weave meshes. Since their apertures are significantly greater than the filtration layer, and they progress in size, the possibility of particulate entrapment in them is completely eliminated. Thus, particles finer than the filtration layer readily pass through unobstructed.
