Modern electrical equipment requires a stable voltage supply with low levels of harmonic distortion. However, electrical installations often generate interference causing disturbance to electrical networks. This leads to various problems such as:

Overheating
Malfunctioning of control or remote monitoring systems
High currents in the different phases or neutral lines
Resonance problems


As a result it is necessary to have harmonic filters. These are basically composed of capacitors and inductors. The addition of a resistor allows:

Easier filter tuning at installation,
Widening of the pass band,
Greater tolerance of temperature changes in the components.

The DDR, DNR and DSR series is a silicon coated power wire wound resistors. The DDR series has power range from 15 W to 20,000 W, while the DNR series has power range from 15 W to 20,000 W. This series can be customized to high current resistors to handle high loading current, up to hundred Amperes.

The resistance measure depends on the customers specification. It supports multi-resistance per resistor requirement, and it also supports small and high resistance range.

There are three sub-series of adjustable power resistors with power range up to 20kW and support three phase requirement :
DSR-F : Adjustable Power Wire Wound Resistor
DSR-W : Adjustable Power Wire Wound Resistor with a handwheel to adjustable the resistance

The ASQ, ASQM, ASZ, and ASZA are the dynamic braking resistor load box manufactured by MF Power Resistor Ltd. The external housing made of aluminum protects the internal wire wound resistor from external mechanical force, humidity and dust. The resistors can guarantee long life, and can resist strong vibration.

These resistors are efficient in different applications, such as for variable frequency drives, industrial machinery and equipment, snubber circuits and heating resistors. The length of electrical lead wire has a measure of 100 mm as standard. There are different electrical connection to choose from, which are Electrical Lead Wires with or without Ring or Y Terminals, and the Busbar Terminals. Furthermore, ASON, ASOMN and ASZN are the versions available for low inductance.

It can be customized up to 20kW.
