Air velocity transmitter - AVT series

The AVT Series is an air velocity transmitter developed by HK Instruments. It is suitable for building automation in the HVAC/R industry. The system is mainly used to measure air velocity and temperature. This unit comes with a duct mount probe, 3 field selectable measurement ranges, and adjustable collar for round or rectangular ducts. The framework is equipped with proportional output options including 0–10V voltage and 4–20mA current. Additionally, it comes with separated readings and outputs for air velocity and temperature.

They are geared to provide maximum adaptability and durability, while operating in frequency bands of ISM 2.4 GHz. Its RF element complies with IEEE-802.15.4 guidelines. It is compatible with the WM44-P-RF display system.

The devices are equipped with a superlative, tough-built sensor to accurately perceive wind speeds. The bearings are manufactured from stainless steel while the body and cups are structured from high-class industrial grade plastic. The anemometer incorporates an easy-to-use plug and play assembly, eliminating the need for time-consuming programming. It is extremely immune to other devices operating concurrently in the same environs, with no adverse affect on performance or readings.

The anemometer incorporates a radio impulsive output. It is installed swiftly and easily, with no cumbersome wiring needs. When used in tandem with the WM44-P-RF display system, it can store maximum and minimum wind velocity values as well as current velocity readings. The anemometer has two relay outputs.

It is specifically suited for use in solar panels, wind-generators, tower cranes, greenhouses, etc.

They are used in order to measure air speed, temperature and flowrate that are present inside pipelines and vents through the means of a hot-wire or vane probe. To measure the temperature, immersion, penetration or air contact probes alone can be used. The temperature sensor will be from the Pt100 or Pt1000 series. The probe come fitted with the SICRAM module and factory memorized calibration settings have been fed already. HD2103.1 and HD2103.2 models are fitted with the RS232C serial port and are able to transfer acquired measurements in real time to a personal computer or a portable printer.

The HD2303.0 is a portable instrument that is equipped with a large LCD display and is designed for use in a variety of fields such as - air conditioning, heating, ventilation and environmental comfort. To measure the air speed, flow rate and temperature inside the pipelines as well as vents, it uses hotwire or vane probes. Temperature is measured by immersing, penetrating or air contacting the probes. Users are allowed to choose the temperature range from the Pt100, Pt1000.

The probes are fitted with the SICRAM module with the factory calibration data being stored. The Max, Min and Avg function can be used to calculate the maximum, minimum or average values. The relative measurement REL, the HOLD function, and the automatic turning off are the other important functions. The instrument have protection degree of IP67.

All models contain two analogical outputs, adjustable between 4 and 20 mA , 0 and 1 V, ) and 5 V and 0 and 10 V. They also contain a heater, that serves as protection from snow and ice, offering usability for harsh environments. They have no moving parts, and are easy to maintain. Also, they are highly sensitive and can detect low speeds, can be installed on remote areas due to low power consumption. They are recommendable for weather stations, environmental monitoring, agriculture, HVAC, airports etc.
