The IRAffinity-1S is a compact Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer that is housed within an elegant form. The interferometer is continuously optimized by a dynamic alignment mechanism, and a built-in auto dryer helps ensure ease of maintenance. The IRAffinity-1S offers the high S/N ratio (30,000:1, 1-minute accumulation, neighborhood of 2,100 cm-1, peak-to-peak), a maximum resolution of 0.5 cm-1, and compact dimensions. Furthermore, the high-performance LabSolutions IR software, which emphasizes operability, and analysis support programs (Contaminant analysis program and Pharma Report program) make it easier to perform data processing and analysis.


Highest S/N Ratio in Its Class: 30,000:1

Through the incorporation of a high-energy ceramic light source, a temperature-controlled, high-sensitivity DLATGS detector, a high-throughput optical element, and the optimization of the electrical system and optical system, the IRAffinity-1S achieves the highest S/N ratio in its class.


Ease of Maintenance Ensured by Built-in Auto Dryer

Beam splitters in the interferometers of FTIR instruments are susceptible to humidity. In order to maintain the long-term stability of the interferometer, the beam splitter must be protected. In the IRAffinity-1S, the interferometer is airtight and incorporates a unique internal auto dryer.

High Sensitivity

UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer with three detectors, consisting of a PMT (photomultiplier tube) for the ultraviolet and visible regions and InGaAs and cooled PbS detectors for the near-infrared region. With conventional instruments that use only PMT and PbS detectors, there is a drop in sensitivity in the crossover region between those detectors. Using an InGaAs detector to cover this crossover region, however, ensures high sensitivity across the entire measured wavelength range, and gives a noise level of 0.00003 Abs at 1500 nm. In addition to the main UV-3600 Plus unit, the Multi-purpose large-sample compartment and the Integrating sphere attachment also feature three detector, enabling the high-sensitivity measurement of solid samples.


High Resolution, Ultra-Low Stray-Light, and Wide Wavelength Range

A high-performance double monochromator makes it possible to attain an ultra-low stray-light level (0.00005 % max. at 340 nm) with a high resolution (maximum resolution: 0.1 nm). The wide wavelength range of 185 to 3,300 nm enables measurement across the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared regions. This instrument can perform spectrophotometry for a variety of applications.

The SHIMADZU offers two type of monochromators that are the UV-2600 Series and the UV-2700 Series. These devices are applicable for a broad range of applications and has the capacity to easily expand their measurement objective.

Moreover, both of these device differ from their capacities. The UV-2600 Series is a single monochromator that is used for measuring the near-infrared region with a wavelength range of 1400cm. On the other side, the UV-2700 Series is a double monochromator that has the capacity to measure 8-Abs and is applicable for low transmittance samples.

Featuring the highest resolution in its class*, the UV-1800 easily satisfies the standards of wavelength resolution Toluene/hexane solution demanded by the European Pharmacopoeia.Additionally, using a spectroscope with a Czerny-Turner mounting results in a compact, bright optical system. Straylight, wavelength repeatability and baseline stability have also been advanced to meet user requirements. USB memory can be connected directly to the UV-1800. Users can now analyze data on a PC using UVProbe software. In addition, data for spectra and time-course curves can be displayed and saved with commercial spreadsheet software. Printing is possible to printers that support PCL control codes.e.g. HP Business Inkjet 1200 HP Photosmart D5160 Using UVProbe software, provided as standard, makes it possible to control the UV-1800 with a PC. (A USB cable is required for connection to the PC.)
