UltraScan systems from Beta LaserMike provide on-line precision measurements of product wall thickness and concentricity, with an option for also measuring diameter and ovality. Using ultrasonic technology, UltraScan systems are able to make high-speed, non-contact measurements during production.

In-line magnetic thickness measuring instrument - TGD

The TGD series is manufactured by Brockhaus, and is an inline thickness measuring instrument that has a high performance electromagnetic measuring process for the quality control of cold and hot rolled strips and sheets. It has a quick evaluation of measuring values and high accuracy, which can be utilize in harsh conditions, measurements unaffected by emulsions, lubricants, dust, etc.

There is an electric current that is provided to the primary winding via high-performance triangular alternating current. It has an induced voltage on the secondary winding that is standard for the thickness of the material to be measured.

The unit has repeatability accuracy of better than 0.2% and measuring accuracy of better than 0.5%. It also has a minimum strip width of 90 mm, and has a strip thickness of 0.01 to 3 mm.
