On-line particle size analyzer - 0.5 - 500 mm | OAX series

The OAX particle analyzing system is equipped with an optical camera mounted inside the analyzer. The material is top fed by the vibro-feeder unit (laboratory application) or provided directly form the process (in-line installation). This unit captures moving particles images, as the capturing is done in dynamic conditions. The entire system is controlled via PC based analyzing package, equipped with a highly advanced algorithm, providing identification of material (or material combination), dimensions, shape, structure and position for each particle. The obtained results can be shown as a value of different parameters describing material particles. Aside from color, this system also uses over 50 additional parameters such as diameter, perimeter, centre of mass, moment of inertia, particle orientation, elongation factor etc. during the identification process. Additionally, specific combination of identification parameters can also be used to identify particles of particular interest.

The particle size analyzing unit has its basis as the laser diffraction principle, with an exclusive multi-particle scattering model which offers dependable and stable analysis with extreme concentrations of particles. This enables direct analysis of particle sizes in most production chains. There is also an air-blown valve unit which is utilized for switching between the measured channels, which can also be achieved in free combination, duration and priorities.
The Multi channel units for particle size analysis comprise of two divisions, a central unit cabinet present in the production-space and a monitoring PC in the control-room. Both are linked by two Ethernet or RS-485 cables.

The Analysette 22 NanoTec plus is manufactured by Fritsch, and is used for the determination of the particle size distributions of powdery samples, of solids in suspensions, and of emulsions. The model is suitable for characterizing samples in the transition range micrometre to nanometre. Equipped with a triple-laser technology for forward and backward scattering, it can measure nano-particles in a wide measuring range of 0.01 – 2000 μm. The Nanotec plus is also capable of an enhanced measurement precision through an analysis of 165 channels.

A fast and automatic particle size analysis is also possible through the instrument's practical modular system. The modular system enables connections to the measuring unit individually or in combination. Each measuring unit of the Analysette 22 NanoTec plus is delivered with a notebook.

This apparatus delivers automatic test feeding, dispersing, measurement, and cleaning operations. It is capable of independent operations. It also showcases tilting functions that provide complete sample feeding capabilities.

Other features of this autosampling device includes 26 positions for 40-ml standard containers, a programmable system complete with a spray jet, and an automatic position and calculation assignment function.
