Captive screw - 5x series
Each thread size of the 51/53/58 - Captive Screws indicate the thread grip area and total length of the screw. However, the range of standoff mounting dimensions enables them to handle different panel thicknesses. The large and shiny knobs create a smooth finish. The long shafts allow easy gripping due to the large space above the panel. They are corrosion resistant due to their all stainless steel construction. The 53 Class screws consists of completely retractable spring-ejected screws. They have two options in flare-in installation such as chamfered hole and straight hole. They are available in polished stainless steel or with standoff and screw in black finish. Special tools for installation are also available according to the fastener size for attaching retainer rings and flaring standoffs.
