Mechanical Face Seals are generally used for rotating applications on construction machineries and production plants with components that enable strong resistance to breakage due to severe changes in the environment. Specifically, they are applied on axles, mining and agricultural machines, conveyor facilities, and other heavy duty vehicles. They cover two sets of specifications. The first one is the DO which uses O-Ring as sealing support, and the DF which has an elastomer with a diamond-shaped cross section as a secondary capping. Both are geared with metal seal rings that are mounted on two separate housing in an overlapping seal face.
