Cablecraft Motion Controls pull-only brake controls are highly flexible. They have been specifically developed for transmission of pull motion from one mechanical device to another by eliminating the need for bellcranks, rods, as well as other stiff mechanical linkages.

The controls are particularly suitable for applications in need of an increased load capacity and lower deflection. An ideal example is a cable widely used in a vehicle parking brake operation.

The brakes can be installed with ease and require low maintenance. These pull controls are widely used on a variety of mechanical devices.

Cablecrafts' T-flex cables has an economical design that is utilized in pull only applications. The inner cable is a multi-strand, high-tensile steel cable that is designed to be resistant to disintegration. It also has available armored strands and solid wires. The outer cable is a flexible pipeline that is made up of either one or two high-tensile steel wires that provides increased compression strength. These cables can fit a variety of accessory components, available in both UNF and metric thread options and can be covered with polypropylene or PVC for protection.

Flexibility core controls are used in applications that require the transmission of forces in tension only. In general, more flexible conduit and a cable core is used for greater freedom in routing and smaller bend radii in restricted installations. Many installations feature an integral return spring to keep a specified load on the cable and to return the cable or mechanism to its original position after activation. Controls with cable cores permit the use of most standard fittings allowing a very wide range of mounting and retaining options.

Pull-Pull Cable Controls

All design considerations for push-pull and pull-pull controls also apply to molded cable controls. Additional design factors do affect the design of these products. They include the molded conduit fittings, conduit selection, assembly function and dimensions.

Recognition of these factors, combined with a practical design for the application, will result in a successful, reliable and cost-effective assembly.
