Wind turbine servo-drive - PITCHmaster II, PITCHmaster II+
The Moog Wind Turbine Pitch Servo Drive PITCHmaster II is an advanced interface used in most of Moog's pitch systems. It optimizes on and offshore wind turbines. The servo drive is individually integrated to the hub through its flexible ventilation structure. It is also capable of withstanding high mechanical loads in the rotating hub due to its high tolerance to vibration and shock, therefore ensuring that the demands of the rotor hub are met. Other key features include an optimized emergency power unit connection as well as an integrated acceleration sensor that provides data on rotor speed, position and vibrations.
