Gas-fired engine - 1 460 - 2 430 kW | C26:33
Rolls Royce The liner, piston, (incl. upper con rod) and cylinder head can be replaced as a single unit, without disturbing the big end bearing, saving users a lot of time and money. This robust engine design has been further developed to produce the Bergen C26:33 Gas and is now available in powers from 1,460 to 2,430kW.

In the Bergen C26:33 series gas engines CO2 emissions are reduced by 22 per cent compared to engines burning liquid fuel, NOx emissions are cut by 92 per cent, while emissions of SOx and particulates are negligible. Engine design also cuts methane slip, seen as a disadvantage of gas engines, to very low levels.

The Bergen C26:33 has already obtained United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 3 certification and meets IMO Tier 3 regulations for both SOx and NOx. It also stands ready to meet the more restrictive U.S. EPA Tier 4 regulations when they come into force with minor modifications. This make them an ideal choice where an environmentally future proof propulsion system is required.

Currently our Bergen gas engines are in service or on order for, ferries, roro vessels, tankers, coast guard ships and offshore support vessels. Over 40 Bergen marine gas engines are either in service or are being installed in new vessels. On land about 500 Bergen gas engines have accumulated over 20 million running hours in power generation applications.
