Universal joint shaft / double - FLENDER GKG
The FLENDER GKG range of cardan couplings are designed to counterweigh bogie suspension misalignments between the gear unit and wheel set axle. It does so to allow large shaft displacements while creating minimal reaction forces. The GKG is made with an elastic material, double jointed output design.The parts of the FLENDER GKG have self-calibrated, pre-installed spherical bearings with rubber elements. These can be individually installed of the wheel set shaft and gear unit. They are designed for a long-last service life of up to 1,000,000 km of use in vehicles such as locomotives, street cars, and high speed trains.
