NEP Series chain is a surface treated chain with superb corrosion resistance thanks to its zinc coating base and two different kinds of special surface coatings for roller and other parts. It provides superior saltwater, weather, and all-around corrosion resistance and excellent durability. The surface coatings use no harmful chromium for RoHS compliant, eco-friendly operation.
Features include:
*Excellent corrosion resistance
Lasted 700hrs in saltwater spray tests (JIS-Z-2371) with no rusting.
*Less environmental load
Uses no hexavalent chromium in its corrosion resistant surface coatings and contains no harmful lead, cadmium, mercury, or arsenic. NEP Series chain is an eco-friendly chain that is RoHS compliant.
*Same strength as RS Roller Chain
Has the same tensile strength and allowable load as standard steel RS Roller Chain.
*Each part individually coated
Each part of NEP Series chain is individually surface treated -- unlike chains that are surface treated after assembly, NEP Chains are surface treated right to the innermost part of the chain for lasting corrosion resistance.
