Cycloidal gear reducer - Circulute 3000 Overhead
The Circulute 3000 directly replaces many of the worm gear and other gearbox packages commonly used for overhead conveyor applications. The new configuration is the ERD Series. NIDEC-SHIMPO refers to ERD Series as the Chicken Drive as it finds applications within the poultry processing industry where the benefits of the design are extremely useful. The design incorporates a double reduction Circulute in ring mount configuration. There is an additional mounting plate and extended shaft, which provide the form, fit, and function to substitute with common overhead gearbox applications. It comes with distinct advantages over the traditional worm gear designs. The Higher efficiency gearing design can achieve up to 90% potential. The shock load capacity is 500%. The length of overall assembly is reduced due to the Quill style NEMA C-Style input with back-off holes. It uses grease instead of oil for lubrication. Due to straddle mount bearings it has a higher overhung load.
