Rotary drum brake / electro-hydraulic - 63 - 10 000 Nm | SFB series
The SFB series is a line of electro-hydraulic drum brakes manufactured by Pintsch Bubenzer. For several years a seawater-proof version of the SFB series has been used on winch motors in ship building, and as a secure, service or holding brake in wharf crane applications.Other application locations are use in travelling, trolley and lifting gear in crane construction, roller mills, smelters, as well as off-shore installations in machine construction. When the brake current is switched on, an electromagnetic field is created, and the spring tension of the brake is overcome.
The corresponding sub-assemblies, including the motor shaft, can rotate freely. The unit features a range of 63 to 10000 Nm, and a sturdy magnetic circuit for bridging of a large air gap.
