Electromagnetic brake / multi-disc / spring - 100 - 1 600 Nm | KFB series
KFB series safety and service brake developed several years ago is mainly used in internally and externally ventilated motors of travelling, trolley and hoisting gear in crane installations or for industrial applications. An electric field is built up through the properties of the brake current and overcomes the spring tension of the brake is overcome. The corresponding sub-assemblies including the motor shaft can rotate freely. During switch off of the brake current or power failure, the electromagnetic field of the brake collapses and the mechanical brake action is transferred to the motor shaft.
