The D500 is an accurate machine that uses Makino Thermal Stabilizer technology to adjust items for many shop conditions. It has insulated castings, core-cooled ball screws and DD motors with temperature controls.

The spindles are combined for a more stable unit. The rotary axes will deliver twice the accuracy of other machines for a more accurate performance when machining items from a central area. The unit has DD motors with high torque ratings and motion control in the A and C axes.

The A axis has DD motors controlling its body and the design that keep twists from occurring in the cutting and machining processes. The trunnion also runs parallel to the axis to keep deflection from occurring in the process of acceleration.
