The MULTUS B series by OKUMA consists of machines that serve general purpose applications, as well as multi-function CNC latches designed to reduce setup time by the virtual elimination of repetitive fixturing, enhanced accuracy and ensuring the non-cutting time is kept to a minimum. Next, the industry's first Collision Avoidance System software is included in the package, which, when combined with the OSP control system by Okuma, can run the entire machining simulation and even catch potential collisions before scrap is created.
Finally, the construction is thermal friendly and assures high accuracy, even in the case of complex application, while the W version includes a sub-spindle, being designed to hand the part from one spindle to the other to complete turning and milling operations.
