The RD 430 is a grinding machine that has a twin-head grinder structured with two separate grinding units. This grinding unit is suitable for cylinders with 550 mm diameter and 2,000 mm length. The machine is positioned in lateral surface and transition edge. It has both hydrostatic guide way, and a linear motor to provide better productivity and high quality rates. Through this, the system can conduct in a single set-up, lateral surface and transition edge. It also has an integrated measuring capability to determine non-continuous areas.
The RD430 Grinding Machine can conduct the machining of impression cylinders through the use of its linear motors; the transitional edge between 60˚and 80˚ must be chamfered when lateral surface exhibits a gap.
