Anti-vibration boring bar - ø 10 - 600 mm | Silent Tools®
It is possible to maintain good productivity and close tolerances with the Silent Tools dampened boring bars and adapters. This also applies to long tool overhangs over a 3 x bar diameter. Up to 10 x bar diameter can be machined with the Silent Tools dampened steel bars and the dampened carbide reinforced bars go even higher at up to 14 x bar diameter tool overhang.A productivity increase of 50% for shorter boring bars and up to 400% for longer overhang lengths is achieved. The Silent Tools range provide an improved surface finish, improved chip evacuation, improved surface finish and a reduced cost per component.
They benefit from the unique Silent Tools dampening mechanism, internal coolant through the bar and a flexible modular SL interface.
