The pharmaceutical industry packaging line - max. 300 p/min
For the past ten years, F. Hoffman-La Roche AG has been having the vision of packaging of patients' kits for advancements in clinical studies with the help of an automated procedure. This is now fulfilled, says the company's head of clinical packaging, Christoph Mettler. The TLM packaging line from Schubert allots for medication and placebos to individual patients and groups with predetermined quantities collected into multi-packs which in turns form a personalized patient kit.It packages the single unit batches. The main method of working from decades was based on mastering the challenges, a combination of intellectual software and simplified mechanical system evolving maximum flexibility. The progression in this field took place with the manifestation of VMS controller, robots and the like.
