Magnetic drum separator - P-REX™
Permanent Rare Earth Extreme™ manufactures drum magnet for the automatic separation of heavy ferrous in the course of scrap metal processing like armature(meatballs) assemblies.It has 40% stronger magnetic field compared to electro magnets. It comes with wide pickup zone. It is constructed of solid magnetic material over the entire width to facilitate edge to edge performance. There is no strength loss due to heat. It agitates and flips to shake free the trapped debris. No power is required as permanent magnets are used to produce magnetic field. Retractable jaw is available as option to pull the magnets away from drum shell.
The spheres are extremely difficult objects to acquire magnetically. In the scrap processing, objects may contain non ferrous metals & wires, which makes the magnetic attraction difficult. The P-Rex helps fight these challenges and is able to reach the shredded materials. They also remove the difficult meatballs.
