The Activated Covalent Bonding (ACB) technology has been optimized by REO to make a broad display of monolithic optical assemblies like cube beamsplitters, x-cubes, beam combiners and separators. This technology is an adhesive free procedure of bonding optical parts and it transmits the bond strength without any wavefront distortion unlike the conventional gluing.
Moreover, ACB enhanced the system to resist laser damage of the component as the adhesive materials have been so weak when it comes to linking in the beam delivery system. Also, it is developed to prolong its service life.
