Diamond grinding wheel
Diamond grinding wheels are used for machining short-chipping materials such as ceramic, glass, stone, carbide, concrete, hard plastic, carbide/steel composite etc. The units are sensitive to heat and they produce a chemical reaction to iron within the normal machining temperature range thus restricting the use of diamond to non-ferrous materials. The wheels work at a density of 3.62 g/cm; hardness: 7000 Knoop, 10 Mohs; and maximum heat resistance of 650 degrees C. If the wrong grit type is used for machining the result is unsatisfactory.
