Twin-screw extruder - ZE-A, ZE-R series
Krauss-Maffei Berstorff The two concepts of compounding ZE-A or ZE-R and one basis, by Krauss Maffei. In the ZE-A series, users can see an external/inner diameter ratio of the screws of D/d = 1.46. It also features an optimal ratio of free volume to torque. Other noted features of the device are its high screw torque and maximum throughput. Device is ideally used for the greatest efficiency compounding, alloying, filling and reinforcing, for creating master-batches and also for powder preparation, grit-forming polymers. ZE-R version features a large, free volume. This version is noted particularly for its long dwell times, high torque, highest grade of renewal of the melt surface, reduced gas speeds and minimum level shear energy input. This device can be used with TPE preparation, extremely high filler shares, and the reaction, concentration and residual degassing. These versions would be the best options for a person looking for maximum process flexibility extruders.
