Cast film extrusion line - FILMEX
FILMEX stand for custom configured cast film lines for the production of demanding films geared to a great variety of packaging applications ranging from bread, meat and confectionery to stretch and protective films for the safe transportation and handling of the most diverse products. The PP, stretch or surface protection from FILMEX cast film lines can be individually configured to meet specific requirements. They work on a chill-roll principle wherein the resin pellets are melted in extruders, ranging from 3 to 12, depending on the line configuration.
The streams of the melted materials come together in the feed block and are distributed up to 5m, after which they are cooled in the chill roll. The entire process ensures excellent optical and mechanical film properties even at high outputs. Polymers such as PP, PE, PA, EVOH and even adhesives can be easily processed on FILMEX by the high modularity of the chill-roll unit, which can be outfitted with a vacuum box air knife or soft box with different degrees of automation and roller surfaces.
