Tungsten crucible

Tungsten crucible
PLANSEE These crucibles from PLANSEE are used for melting molybdenum and tungsten during sapphire production when the Al203 compound forms a single crystal. The crucibles show their strengths during the Kyropoulos process. Repeated heat to more than 2000 degrees C is applied and then cooled down. This process causes fissures and distortions in other materials but not for PLANSEE products. The Company has years of experience in powder metallurgy so their crucibles are made of particularly high density and purity. Proper filling of the crucibles and controlled temperature distributed during sintering achieves a uniform wall and base thickness - important aspects for achieving high level creep resistance.
