The Silverson BE or Bottom Entry mixers are usually paired with a scraper/stirrer unit. The Bottom Entry mixer will support high-shear homogenization while the scraper/stirrer spreads the homogenized output evenly over the vessel. This is used in foods, pharmaceuticals and high-viscosity cosmetic products.

It can also be used on lo- viscosity products to make powders wet. It has an easy and simple-to-clean design and a clean-in-place construction.
