RAYCON™ Freeze Dryer is one of the best products from GEA Niro for food and coffee products by combining the advantages of the RAY™ and CONRAD™. This hygienic product is perfect for mass production of pharma-grade products and freeze dried solid dosage pharmaceuticals. All the components in the unit and the materials used in the process cater to relevant documentation and certifications and hence cleared according to CE and FDA directives. The entire drying process is automatic, with very little human intervention like adjusting and verifying the operational parameters. This reduces risk of contamination, control production costs and deliver product uniformity.

The RAYTM 1 is a freeze-drying pilot plant that is ideal for the production of market samples in beverage and food industries. It can also be used to help with the pilot testing of new products before the production. Advantages of the RAYTM 1 include easy maintenance and cleaning, test repeatability with the same characteristics for freeze drying, scalability, etc.
A PC control system operates the pilot plant and monitors and stores the parameters during the freeze-drying process, which allows full documentation. Remote control and troubleshooting are possible from a modem, which can be integrated in the computer system. Excellent data provided by the test runs enable scaling up to industrial level production, either in a CONTRADTM model or in one of the Atlas RAYTM models.
