Walking beam furnace / for leaf springs
Sistem Teknik Industrial Furnaces Springs, which are suspension components, are the vital link between load-bearing machinery/vehicles and efficient load-bearing performances. It is the spring that bears the brunt of the strain from suspension of heavy loads. In order to facilitate load bearing tasks, springs that were produced earlier incorporated layers. Higher the load they were meant to bear, higher the number of layers, leading to bulky and cumbersome spring elements.

Today, this problem has been overcome by manufacturing springs via parabolic rolling. Springs produced by parabolic rolling incorporate thick and thin segments, with thicker segments designed to withstand heavier load strains and thinner segments designed to withstand lighter load strains. The springs manufactured by parabolic rolling method are top quality and high strength springs, along with being light in weight.

The parabolic taper rolling furnaces designed by Sistem Teknik are equipped with burners positioned at the apex of the furnaces, which generate heat through combustion of natural gas. Multiple burners provide uniform heat to the springs as per heat requirement, depending on the type of part- whether high strain or low strain.

The heated springs are supposed to be removed in 1 minute, failing which, the control unit of the furnace sounds an audio-visual alarm in order to alert the operator. Simultaneously, the furnace is automatically cooled to 700oC by the control unit.
