Booster booster pump / belt-driven / with electric motor / for water - BMET series
GRUNDFOS The Grundfos BMET booster module consists of a BME and BMT pump, both connected in series. Both pumps feature a Grundfos multi-stage submergible pumping unit built into a stainless steel frame, with the BME pump powered by a V belt pulley, using a standard electric motor. The pulley system has an oil lubricating and oil cooling system built in. A Pelton turbine is used in the BMT pump, and is connected to the first pump. The BMET booster module is designed for use in reverse osmosis systems, where the energy from the resulting high-pressure concentrate is recovered by the Pelton turbine, and will deliver a staggering 34% reduction in energy savings, compared to conventional systems. The BME pump's shaft seal is fabricated from carbon/silicon carbide, and has been designed to withstand high pressures. Both these pumps feature water lubricated axial thrust bearings, which will absorb the axial thrust from the pumps.
