This device is a DeVilbiss FLRCAC-1 filter regulator coalescer, created to purify breathing air by facilitating the removal of water, liquid oil and dirt. It is an incredibly efficient device. The carbon filter has been activated to reduce the amount of contaminants to around 0.003ppm. It also has a filtration capability of 0.01 microns.

This device not only has an activated carbon filter, it also has a coalescer. Both are included in this single outlet filter regulator.
