Reverse osmosis desalinator - OSMOTIC
Sistema Azud presents AZUD OSMOTIC desalination plant. It is suited for desalination of salty sea water. It uses reverse osmosis membranes. The plant is suited for industrial as well as irrigation applications. In the RO process, a high pressure is applied to a concentrated solution of salts. This solution comes in touch with a somewhat-porous membrane. Water passes through this membrane, and salts are retained. As a result, the natural process of osmosis is reversed. The final output is salt-free water, which passes through the pores. And the rejection or brine with high amount of salt remains on the membrane.
