Electrodialysis desalinator
The GE Electromat technology provides a solution for the loss of important components in waste streams. The Electrodialysis (ED) transfer the ions from one solution to another using selective ion exchange membranes. The process utilizes DC voltage to make the transfer. The bipolar electrodialysis (BPED) utilizes a bipolar membrane for splitting the water into OH- and H+ which creates acid and caustic streams. This process modifies the pH of a solution without the need to add acids or bases.
