SCHUNK The Collision and Overload Protection OPS-063-M is quick and lightweight. It has a 1 ms response time which sets a new standard for robot applications. The housing is made with heavy-duty hard anodized aluminum alloy and weighs only 290 grams that makes it suitable for small robots.
The OPS-063-M utilizes external exchangeable magnetic switches for monitoring instead of internal proximity switches. Disassembly is not required after collision, the unit should only be placed back to its starting position. This ease of operations also lessens the risk of malfunctions and reduces inventory of spare parts. The operating pressure is used to set the triggering force and torque. Integration to the system is quick and easy due to the standard adapter plates. Magnetic switches enable monitoring and it has integrated electronics monitoring.
