Rigid compact filters are principally a combination of bag type filters and V-panel filters. The relation between the area of filter media and filter face is approx. 30-60 qm/qm. This enables the rigid compact filters to achieve very high lifetimes when occuring high concentrations of very fine particles.
Glass fibre papers or synthetic micro-spunbonds are used as filter media developed from Kalthoff's patents.
